Developer Suite
Developer Suite is the optional local service that connects the browser editor to your machine. Its installer manages the service. AppClient is a separate product that the first Suite install also brings in.
1. Install
Open an Administrator PowerShell window on Windows x64 and run this Store command. It verifies the current Suite manifest's ECDSA signature, checks the archive size and SHA-256, checks the installer's embedded release key, and runs the installer. No pre-downloaded EXE is needed.
& ([scriptblock]::Create((irm 'https://store.createrun.ai/installer/developer-tools/developersuite/install.ps1')))Read the Windows script before running it. The Windows stable channel must contain a release. First Suite installation also obtains the separately signed AppClient release if it is missing.
Later Suite and AppClient updates are separate actions in the tray. The installed Suite executable supports --cli update and --update-appclient.
2. Diagnose a connection problem
Developer Suite has no doctor verb. Start with the installer's --cli status, then check whether the service is running and whether the local health endpoint responds. A reported installed version alone does not prove that the service is healthy.
$suiteInstaller = Get-ChildItem "$env:ProgramFiles\Createrun\DeveloperSuite\ControlCenter" -Filter DeveloperSuite.Installer.exe -Recurse -File | Sort-Object LastWriteTime -Descending | Select-Object -First 1 -ExpandProperty FullName
$status = Start-Process -FilePath $suiteInstaller -ArgumentList '--cli status' -Wait -PassThru -WindowStyle Hidden
$status.ExitCode
Get-Service CreaterunDeveloperSuite
Test-NetConnection 127.0.0.1 -Port 7779
Invoke-WebRequest http://127.0.0.1:7779/healthIf status says installed but the service is absent or stopped, inspect the installation path and service registration before troubleshooting the browser editor. The service normally listens on local port 7779; use the configured port if you changed it. These checks do not diagnose a self-hosted Instance; see Instance Doctor for that runtime.
3. Uninstall
Close the editor and tray companion. Download the Suite version from the Store stable channel, check the versioned manifest and extract the developersuite-<version>-win-x64.zip archive from https://store.createrun.ai/installer/developer-tools/developersuite/versions/<version>/win-x64/ into a separate folder. Run that separate installer from an elevated Windows session; the installed ControlCenter EXE is removed during uninstall and must not run itself. --remove-config removes installation metadata. --remove-data requests broader deletion of the selected installation directory; review and back up anything kept there first.
& 'C:\path\to\extracted\DeveloperSuite.Installer.exe' --cli uninstall --remove-config
Get-Service CreaterunDeveloperSuite -ErrorAction SilentlyContinueCheck the command's error output and service state. The installer returns an error when removal leaves a service or file step incomplete. Suite removal does not remove the separately installed AppClient; follow the AppClient removal guide if you want to remove it too.
Platform status
macOS arm64 and Linux x64 have separate macOS and Linux bootstrap scripts. They require curl, python3, openssl and dotnet, verify the signed manifest and archive, and stop if the platform channel has no release. macOS packaging is source ready but Store upload and a real Mac installation are not verified; Linux has no published release or verified installation. Do not use an SSH or root session for a Mac LaunchAgent install.
Once the matching platform release is published, run the relevant command in a local desktop terminal:
macOS arm64
bash -c 'set -o pipefail; curl -fsSL https://store.createrun.ai/installer/developer-tools/developersuite/install-macos.sh | bash'Linux x64 (release not yet published)
bash -c 'set -o pipefail; curl -fsSL https://store.createrun.ai/installer/developer-tools/developersuite/install-linux.sh | bash'
